Strategy, measurement, and learning work best when they’re connected: Your strategy shapes what you measure. Meaningful measurement creates opportunities to learn. And learning helps you decide what to do next.
My work brings all the pieces together so that your organization can understand where your strategy is contributing to progress, and how to adapt accordingly.
(Re)Define strategy
Meaningful change rarely happens by accident. It requires a strategy that helps people align around what they believe it will take for progress to unfold, make intentional decisions, and adapt as they learn. Whether you're creating a new strategy, refreshing an existing one, or figuring out how to put yours into practice, it's important to ask:
Is your strategy pointed toward the impact you’re trying to create and the systems and root causes that hold the issues and inequities in place?
Was it developed with, and is it understood and owned by, the people responsible for bringing it to life?
Is it adaptable as context changes or you learn something new?
Together, we'll clarify the impact you want to have, align your team around what you can realistically do or influence, and identify the conditions needed for progress to unfold. The result is a strategy your team understands and can act on, and that leaves room for adaptation and experimentation.

Measure progress toward impact
Most organizations don't need to collect more data; they need information about what is (or isn't) working to help them make better decisions. Whether you're deciding what to measure or trying to make better use of the information you already have, it's worth asking:
Are your measurement and evaluation efforts focused on the questions and measures that matter to the people closest to the work?
Are you drawing on multiple forms of evidence (including quantitative data, qualitative insights, and lived experience) to understand where your work is contributing to impact, for whom, and under what conditions?
Are the data practical to collect, and are insights available when important decisions need to be made?
Together, we’ll identify the questions and signs of progress that matter most, then design measurement practices that fit your organization and the way your team actually works. The result is an approach your team can sustain long after our engagement ends, and that generates timely, actionable information about your progress and contribution to impact.

Creating a learning agenda
Designing and implementing an evaluation (using Equitable Evaluation principles)
Visualizing and communicating findings through engaging reports, stories, or dashboards
Collectively learn and decide what comes next
Learning should help your organization make better decisions, not become an end in itself. Whether you're creating opportunities for people to learn together or wondering how to turn reflection into action, it’s important to ask:
Does your organizational culture make it safe to experiment, fall short, learn, and adapt?
Are you creating opportunities for people to reflect on what they’re learning and use those insights to shape what comes next?
Is there follow-through? Do insights turn into decisions and action?
Together, we'll design opportunities for your team to reflect on where progress is unfolding, explore what is driving change, and decide what to continue, what to let go of, and where to experiment next. The result is learning that doesn't stop at reflection, but leads to confident decisions and invites possibility into your work.

Wondering what this could look like for your team?
Every engagement is different. Some organizations come to me for a specific need or to focus deeply in one area. Others want to connect strategy, measurement, and learning so they reinforce one another over time.
Not sure where to start?
You don't need to know exactly what kind of support you need before we talk. We can start by discussing what elements your organization already has in place, what's serving you well (and what's not), and where you hope to go from here. From there, we'll design an approach that fits your organization's context and needs.
